Super Healthy Energy Drink for Pre Training or Post Work
Beetroots kick the energy up and when mixed with the other ingredients, you get a cocktail that will cleanse the body, break down inflammations, and bring out the glow in your face.
This beetroot / strawberry smoothie tastes delicious and can be varied in every possible way - try adding a little raw (unheated) honey for extra sweetness and energy.
3 cups:
Blend these ingredients:
• 5 balls frozen spinach (2,5 oz.)
• 1 banana
• 6 almonds
• 3,5 oz. red berries (e.g. cherries, raspberries, strawberries)
• 1/2 beetroot cut into small pieces
• 1,3 cups of almond milk
• Juice from ½ lemon
• Optional: 1/2 pack silken tofu (gives a delicious texture)
• Optional: 1 tsp. of raw honey (unheated)
For the body to easily absorb the veggies and an extra zing to the skin, add a spoon full of extra virgin olive oil.
