Face Yoga Exercise for Upper Lip Volume
Face Exercise for More Volume in Upper Lip
It's easier to remember to train the body than the face. But getting into a routine of giving your face muscles some resistance comes with many advantages. Not only will it lift, plump, and strengthen weakened skin, but it can also help relieve (jaw) tensions and headaches.
I’ve done face yoga almost daily for five weeks now, and I can feel and see changes. The most obvious effect is on my right eyelid, which tends to be a bit lazy, but it has tightened up now.
I’ve previously written a little about Facial Fitness in my post about How To Get Healthy, Glowing Skin—Inside Out, where you’ll find tre more exercises.
But now back to the lips
Loss of lip volume happens over time. As a result, thinner lips with poor edge definition and a downward turning of the lip corners. Vertical lines above the lip (smoker's lines) and creases in the lower lip may also occur.
Do not despair, though, because I have a tip for you here:
Lift corners of the mouth upward.
Open your mouth as if you wanted to say "A".
Fold the upper lip over your upper teeth.
Smile as if you wanted the corner of the mouth to touch your ears.
Press the corner of the mouth in with your index fingers.
Keep the mouth open all through this exercise.
Close your eyes and look backward.
Hold the pose for 30 sec.
Release, and then repeat two more times.
This exercie also helps eliminate wrinkles on the upper lip, strengthens cheekbones, and prevents sagging skin around the chin.
How Often Should You do Face Fitness?
For best results, do face yoga every day. The good thing is that it doesn't take long and it's something you can do on your couch in the evening in front of the television.
I try to do 1-2 different exercises twice a day, morning and evening.
